Volunteer With Bid For Tomorrow

Help support youth creativity and community health while building meaningful volunteer experience.

Who can volunteer?

Students and community members can volunteer with Bid For Tomorrow. Student volunteers may be able to use eligible activities toward their secondary-school community involvement requirements, depending on their school's rules.

What can I volunteer for?

  • Artist outreach
  • Community outreach
  • Social media and promotion
  • Event support
  • Registration and guest assistance
  • Fundraising support
  • Administrative and organizational work

Not every activity is eligible toward every school's community involvement requirement. See the policy page for details.

How hours are recorded

  1. Sign up for an approved volunteer activity with Bid For Tomorrow.
  2. Complete the activity as scheduled with a Bid For Tomorrow supervisor.
  3. Record your date and hours on the form provided.
  4. A Bid For Tomorrow supervisor verifies the activity and hours.
  5. Students submit the verified record through their own school's process.

For Ontario students, students under 18 need parent/guardian involvement, and the student's school or principal ultimately determines whether an activity qualifies. Ontario's current rules require the supervising organization to verify dates and hours, while students under 18 must have a parent/guardian verify their hours through the school's process.

Important for Ontario students

Not every activity qualifies toward the Ontario Secondary School Diploma's 40-hour community involvement requirement. Bid For Tomorrow can verify the hours you complete with us, but your school or principal determines whether those hours can be counted.

Activities involving the handling of valuable items, including artwork, may not qualify under Ontario's rules. Please confirm your planned activity with your school before counting it toward your graduation requirement.
